This building, one of the most important noble palaces in the city, was owned by the Thun family for 400 years from 1454 onwards, whose coat of arms can still be seen today on the edges of the facades and at the apex of the portal. The facade facing the former Via Larga shows traces of decoration in rusticated ashlar architecture. Around the middle of the 16th century, the palace was connected to other buildings and largely redesigned. During the last session of the Council of Trent, several meetings took place in this building, where cardinals and legates Ercole Gonzaga and Giovanni Morone lodged. From 1831, the building underwent comprehensive restoration work under the direction of the Brescian architect Rodolfo Vantini. In 1873, the municipality of Trento acquired the Palazzo, which has served as the town hall ever since. Source: Information board

The Palazzo Thun now houses Trento's town hall. The original Neptune from the Piazza Duomo fountain is displayed in the courtyard. The fresco cycle in the stairwell was created in 1551 by Felice Brusasorci of Verona. The palace, now used as the town hall, stands above the ancient Cardo Maximus, the main north-south street of Tridentum. Only the courtyard is open to the public. The Cappella Vantini and Torre Mirana within the Palazzo are only open for events and exhibitions. https://maps.adac.de/poi/palazzo-thun-trient

The Palazzo Geremia is a prime example of the glorious era of Bernhard von Cles (1485-1539). This Renaissance palace, dating from the turn of the 15th to the 16th century, boasts a facade adorned with vibrant frescoes. The trompe-l'œil architecture blends the depicted events so skillfully into the actual architecture that the boundaries become blurred. On the second floor, a painted loggia depicts Emperor Maximilian I granting an audience to dignitaries. On the floor below, four scenes are shown: a gathering of dignitaries witnessing a battle, a knight on horseback, Muzio Scevola placing his hand in a brazier, and a scene that is now barely discernible, presumably depicting the desecration of Lucretia. ... https://maps.adac.de/poi/palazzo-geremia-trent https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:Trento_Palazzo_Quetta_Alberti-Colico_1.jpg

The two houses, which have a polygonal floor plan and rest on the sturdy pillars of a covered walkway, are distinguished by an extensive 16th-century fresco cycle spanning several registers. Even in the old town of Trento, which is characterized by many ancient buildings, the "Case Cazuffi - Rella" stands out. No other building in Trento can boast such a complex history of paintings. On the left façade, mythological figures and scenes can be seen: above, Geryon and the allegories of Fortuna, Opportunity, and Nemesis; below, Damocles at the table of the tyrant Dionysius. On the right façade are Virtue, Time, the Triumph of Love, Apollo, and Abundance. The symbolic climax of the scenes is the Ladder of Virtue, while the Latin texts of the scrolls can be seen as a "book of morals" open to the main square, drawing on the symbolism of Renaissance culture. www.visittrentino.info/de
