The last campsite before Verona. Nearby there is a small waterfall with a nice swimming spot. About 1 KM away in the village there is a well-frequented pizzeria.

The "Terrace of the Stars" is an astronomical observatory located in the Viote Valley, in the Monte Bondone area. Far from the lights of urban centers, it is the ideal place for stargazing. The observatory is equipped with powerful telescopes that, under the guidance of expert operators, become the perfect tools for admiring the heavens. Astronomical observations are complemented by classical and pop music concerts, scientific theater performances, shows, children's stories, and in-depth astronomy courses. By day, the sun takes center stage, revealing its spectacular hidden face through telescopes equipped with special filters. The dome is made of polished steel, a solution that creates a striking mirror effect: the day and night views are reflected in the dome, a metaphor for the relationship between heaven and earth, as ancient as humanity. The observatory's main instrument is a computer-controlled 80-cm reflecting telescope, which allows for incredible observations. It is complemented by six other instruments for observing the sky in all its aspects. In 2023, it received important recognition from UNESCO with its inclusion in the world list of "sites connected to the sky." https://www.muse.it/home/scopri-il-museo/il-muse-sul-territorio/terrazza-delle-stelle-viote-del-monte-bondone/

Camping area nestled among apple orchards, can accommodate about fifteen campers and as many tents. Pros: the staff is very friendly and it is possible to pitch the tents in the shade of the kiwis; cons: there is absolutely nothing to eat and/or drink, not even a vending machine; besides that, the big problem is that they only have 2 toilets for ladies and 1 toilet for men. Imagine what this means on a high season morning. Moderate price, perhaps a little high in relation to the lack of services offered; still, more than acceptable for a stop-over.

Very futuristic, but fits wonderfully into the mountains.
