Marcus
November 30, 2025, View of the Gryfino Bridge from the Oder Promenade

The bridge, along with the church, is the town's most striking structure. It's a steel truss bridge with surprisingly little traffic. You can easily walk on both sides and cross at any time.

Between 1911 and 1913, a new steel bridge was built on the site of a wooden structure dating back to 1860. This three-span truss bridge over the Eastern Oder River was 250 meters long and 10 meters wide. It survived in this condition until World War II. At the end of the war in 1945, the central section of the bridge over the Eastern Oder River was blown up, blocking traffic on Międzyodrze. The bridge was rebuilt in 1955. At the turn of 2006 and 2007, the bridge underwent a major renovation, receiving a new asphalt surface and a new color for the truss. The three-span truss bridge has three spans. The spans are supported by concrete piers. The drawbridge is located in the middle of the central span.

The gate was built in the early 14th century and was the city's most important defensive structure. It was built of stone, with brick additions in the 15th century. It had a foregate, which was demolished in 1919.

The market square in Trzcińsko-Zdrój is paved with fine cobblestones. The historic town hall stands in its center, surrounded by low-rise tenement houses. One of them houses a restaurant. The flowerbed in the center of the square forms the base of the monument to the Franco-Prussian War (1870-1871).

The first town hall in Trzcińsko (probably wooden) was built in the 13th century. The current building dates from the 15th century. In the 16th century, it was adorned with late Gothic gables. The rooms feature cross-ribbed vaults, with the exception of the former courtroom, which has reticulated vaults and 16th-century polychrome. Over the centuries, the building has been renovated, rebuilt, and rebuilt numerous times, changing its appearance. Only the town hall's foundations remain unchanged. Extensive renovations were carried out after the Thirty Years' War, in the second half of the 17th century, and at the turn of the 20th century. The last significant renovation was carried out in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

The Myśliborska Gate is the best-preserved element of the medieval fortifications of Trzcińsko-Zdrój, built in the early 14th century. It served a defensive, control and observation function – it was equipped with a portcullis, massive doors and embrasures, and the entrance was only from the city walls. Built of stone and brick, the tower is topped with a characteristic octagonal porch. In the past, the gate was preceded by a narrow, closed corridor with additional fortifications. Today, it is one of the most interesting monuments in the town and a great landmark on the bicycle route through Trzcińsko-Zdrój.

The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Strzeszów is one of the oldest monuments in the Trzcińsko-Zdrój commune, built in the 13th century from stone ashlars. Although the original tower collapsed, it was replaced in 1897 with a neo-Gothic brick structure. The interior houses, among other things, a Renaissance epitaph from the 16th century and choir galleries with an organ prospect. The church cemetery is surrounded by a picturesque wall with neo-Gothic gates.

Lake Strzeszowskie is the largest body of water in the Trzcińsko-Zdrój commune, located in the Myśliborskie Lakeland. It has a surface area of over 120 ha and reaches a depth of 14 meters, which makes it attractive for both anglers and bathing enthusiasts - there is an official bathing area with water assessed as excellent quality. The north-eastern part of the lake borders the Natura 2000 area, which additionally increases its natural values. Access by bike is possible via local roads, and the area around the lake is conducive to peaceful relaxation by the water.
