The current church was built at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries. It was destroyed by fire in 1644 and rebuilt in 1649 thanks largely to the efforts of Anna Lipska, Sister of the Poor Clares. In 1686 the tower was built or rebuilt, and in the 17th century the chapels to the left and right of the nave were also added. In 1795 the tower and roofs were damaged by fire. Between 1829 and 1842 the church was extensively renovated (Wikipedia).
