Doneraile House dates back to the 17th century when it was originally built by Sir Arthur St Leger. The lands have been actually in possession of the St Ledger family since 1636, and thirteen generations of the family have remained in residence until 1969. It is a beautiful building with tours available on payment only; there is also a cafe on site.
