The beaches in this area all seem to have groins / jetties to stop coastal erosion and stop the pebbles being washed away. There are no sand beaches, they all seem to be small to medium size stone beaches. Many areas have loads of pebbles washed up onto the concrete shore lines. At times you have to dismount and push the bike through these sections, or try to pick a compact line furthest away from the beach side

Esplanades tend to be nice chilled section to ride on, flat tarmac surfaces that do not take much physical exertion, combined with a relatively slow pace, normally quite a lot of people around. Bognor is a nice one to ride on
