A church is already mentioned in Arnoldstein in the years 1316 and 1489. The current building was given this rather sober form in 1959. A noteworthy tomb slab of Abbot Benedikt Traxler from the year 1553 is located behind the tower on the outside of the west side.

Near the church in Arnoldstein, there is a large old burgher house. It dates from the 15th century. Perhaps the building was erected in connection with the early industrialization of Fuggerau.

It has been restored by volunteers for over 30 years and offers extraordinary impressions and views of the mountains. The association runs a small museum on the monastery hill.
