The beach of Psaro is a narrow but long sandy beach with crystal-clear, shallow water. Due to the very shallow sloping seabed (the first 10-15 meters are very shallow), the beach is considered particularly safe for children. The beach is largely unmanaged, meaning there are no fixed rows of rental umbrellas or loungers. However, it has been awarded the Blue Flag multiple times for its water quality. Psarou is a quiet place, far from mass tourism. Nearby, you will find some traditional taverns offering Greek specialties.

From the car park, a steep path leads down to the bay. There is a snack bar above the beach, which originally lowers orders down to the beach in a basket via a rope. The beach is quite small and stony, so water shoes are recommended. In high season, it can get very crowded from late morning onwards. Besides swimming in the healing water, there is a small cave on the left of the beach, which is easily accessible on foot.

Xigia Sulfur Beach (Sulphur Beach) on the northeast coast is known as a "natural spa" because the seawater there contains sulfur and collagen from nearby caves. This gives the water a milky-light blue color and is said to be beneficial for skin and joints. Due to the sulfur springs, the beach smells distinctly of "rotten eggs". The beach is accessible by car. There is a paid parking lot (approx. €3.50 per day) as well as free parking on the roadside.
