The Agios Dionysios Church is the largest church in Zakynthos Town and an important religious center of the island. It is located directly on the promenade by the harbor. Opening hours: The church is open daily from 08:00 to 21:00. A fee may apply for the adjacent church museum.

The historic St. Markos Square (also called Agios Markos or Markusplatz) is considered the cultural and historical center of the city. The distinctive buildings include the neoclassical Museum of Dionysios Solomos and other important personalities of Zakynthos and the Catholic Church Agios Markos.

The Church of Saint Nicholas of Molos (Agios Nikolaos tou Molou) is a historical landmark in Zakynthos Town. It is located right on Solomos Square, near the harbor. Built in 1561 in the Venetian style, the stone church is considered the oldest Venetian building on Solomos Square. It is the only Venetian building in the city that survived the devastating earthquake and subsequent fires of 1953 almost unscathed. Originally built on a small island connected to the mainland by a bridge, it also served as a lighthouse for seafarers at times.

The place is named after the national poet Dionysios Solomos, who wrote the "Hymn to Liberty" (the Greek national anthem).

The Statue of Liberty (Greek: Ágalma tis Eleftherias) is located on Solomos Square (Platia Solomou) in the city of Zakynthos. The monument is a symbol of freedom. The church of Panagia Pikridiotissa (also known as Panagia Pikridis) is located on the eastern side of the castle hill in Zakynthos Town. In ancient times, a temple dedicated to the god Dionysus originally stood at this site. It was originally called Panagia Kaniosi (or Kanesi). It received its current name in the 16th century from the priest and notary Stephen Pikridis, who worked there from 1542 to 1590. In the courtyard stands an ancient Doric marble column, which was found during excavations in the foundation. During Venetian rule, it served as a holder for a lantern for street lighting.

This viewpoint is part of popular hiking routes in the Keri region. The location is on the route of the „Keri (village) - Olive grove and cypress view Roundtrip". It is a moderate hike that requires good basic fitness, but leads over easily walkable paths. The route leads through a typical Mediterranean landscape with lush olive groves and distinctive cypresses. In the surrounding area, you will also find vineyards and raisin cultivation areas.

On the hiking trail from the picturesque village of Keri towards the famous Mizithres rocks, you have a wide view over the valley and the Ionian Sea. A popular tour leads from Keri Village past the lighthouse to the viewpoints of the Mizithres Islands. The path is characterized by dense olive groves and cypresses. The viewpoint offers a typical panoramic view of the rugged southwest coast of Zakynthos.
