The Church of Saint Nicholas of Molos (Agios Nikolaos tou Molou) is a historical landmark in Zakynthos Town. It is located right on Solomos Square, near the harbor. Built in 1561 in the Venetian style, the stone church is considered the oldest Venetian building on Solomos Square. Originally built on a small island connected to the mainland by a bridge, it also served as a lighthouse for seafarers at times.

The church of Panagia Pikridiotissa (also known as Panagia Pikridis) is located on the eastern side of the castle hill in Zakynthos Town. In ancient times, a temple dedicated to the god Dionysus originally stood at this site. It was originally called Panagia Kaniosi (or Kanesi). It received its current name in the 16th century from the priest and notary Stephen Pikridis, who worked there from 1542 to 1590. In the courtyard stands an ancient Doric marble column, which was found during excavations in the foundation. During Venetian rule, it served as a holder for a lantern for street lighting.
