In this point you cross the border between Norway and Sweden on the Unionsleden, the cycle path created to celebrate the union between Norway and Sweden that was established in Moss in 1814 and dissolved in Karlstad in 1905.

Borredalsdammen is a wonderfully calm lake, perfect for a swim on the east bank, with a pleasant walking path on the west side.

The shelter is not in very good condition anymore. The roof leaks quite a bit. For emergencies it is ok, but if you have the choice I would go to another place to stay.

If you want to experience or discover something, you should definitely check it out! It's just incredibly interesting what old (beautiful) cars are standing around here. The "junkyard" was abandoned over 70 years ago and nature is reclaiming it! Sometimes you wonder how the cars ever got onto these rocks 😅
