The parish church is a remarkable church for this small town. Originally probably late Gothic in the 15th century, the church has undergone alterations throughout the centuries. The most significant change to the interior was the Rococo period. A stop on your cycling or hiking tour is definitely recommended. St. Martin, Buch am Buchrain Buch am Buchrain is one of the oldest parishes in the district and, like the sister parishes in the parish association, belongs to the Erding deanery. The prerequisites for the founding of the parish of Buch am Buchrain go back to the year 776. Today's St. Martin's Church essentially consists of a late Gothic building from the time of office of Pastor Alban Auer, who died in 1485. Due repairs in 1760 led to a significant renovation of the church, which was carried out by Johan Baptist Lethner in the Rococo style and still characterizes the image of the parish church today. In terms of design, it is a hall building with a retracted choir closed on three sides, with the tower to the south with an articulated upper part and a profiled onion dome.

This is a little-used, very well-developed road on a ridge with a beautiful view to both sides. However, the other direction from Oberbuch to Mitterbuch is more pleasant to cycle, it goes downhill...
