Great view, although a lot of people go there because of the road leading there and the 17€ entrance fee for access to the observation tower, which, however, only makes the magnificent view possible because of the forest.

The Baßgeigensee is traversed by the Viktringerbach, which then runs through the Rauschelesee and flows into the Glanfurt below Viktring. Because of its strong current and its small volume, the Baßgeigensee in summer does not reach anywhere near the water temperatures of the neighboring larger lakes.
