"Falkensee Station" – a train station as a highlight. Bold. Trains stop there, people get on and off. It doesn't get much more of a train station than this. The map would probably have given it away.

As part of the Berlin-Spandau – Nauen expansion project (https://www.i2030.de/west/), Falkensee station is being rebuilt. The S-Bahn extension from Berlin-Spandau ends here. The existing regional train stops of Seegefeld and Albrechtshof will then be served by the S-Bahn. In the future, S-Bahn trains will run every ten minutes and offer new direct connections to all stations along the city rail network (including Westkreuz, Tiergarten, and Hackescher Markt). The establishment of accelerated express S-Bahn trains is currently being examined. For regional services, the platforms will be extended to 220 meters. This will allow for longer trains with more seats to be operated on the regional lines.

Who's putting a bike path through here? 🤦🏽 Lots of people, lots of cars. Very annoying section.

Well, it's a shopping hell, all done up nicely. However, I'm also grateful that it's here because on long trips, you can stock up on supplies at the gas station or various fast-food restaurants, and get a coffee or a snack on the way through.

Currently closed due to construction (April 2025). The bike path is apparently being completely rebuilt (as far as Dallgow-Döberitz). The detour is poorly signposted, or I missed something. The recommended detour is through Elstal (towards Berlin, on the left side of the main road). The other side of the road is a nightmare for a racing bike.
