A bike path runs along the course. It's always remarkable how green the grass on a golf course can be. :D

The Mittelland Canal, one of Germany's longest artificial waterways, stretches over 325 kilometers and connects the most important rivers and cities in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. With its numerous fishing spots, the canal is a true paradise for anglers.

The small viewing hill right next to the fence of the southern runway is an insider tip. Very few cycle tourists know about this highlight. We have also cycled past the feeder path many times without knowing what a gem is hidden 500 meters away. Unfortunately, there is still no signpost to the "viewing terrace" on the corner/curve of Münchener Straße / Schwabenstraße between two huge logistics halls. From there you have a wonderful view of the airport reception building. The airlines taking off and landing can also be observed very well from there. During Corona times, the view from there was reminiscent of an airplane graveyard. 😉
