Currently very rideable, everything clear. Not for the inexperienced as it is narrow and on a slope. You shouldn't encounter anyone coming the other way either, otherwise it will get tight.

Currently as of May 23, 26 not rideable. In the upper part 2 trees, which can be climbed over, but in the lower part a huge tree with branches lengthwise along the narrow path, impassable. Had to do a climbing maneuver on the slope with the bike, as the way back was also too steep. Do not ride your own will!!!

I can only confirm what Pucki wrote, the whole rice mountain is a tragedy, the dinosaurs destroyed everything with their chains and balloon tires, unfortunately!

A tragedy; especially at the beginning, nothing remains of the beautiful trail... 😔 Everything has been cleared, and now there are wide tracks left by tractors and harvesters...

The trail is pretty damaged, there are trees in the way, the harvester has done a great job again.

The bike parks in Landkreis Eichstätt, particularly the Juraflow Mountainbike-Parcours on the Blumenberg near Eichstätt, are considered unique within a 100 km radius due to their diverse offerings for all ages and skill levels. The region itself, nestled within the Altmühltal Nature Park, provides a varied landscape of Jura mountains, river valleys, and forests, offering a mix of natural trails and purpose-built facilities.
Yes, the Juraflow Mountainbike-Parcours is an excellent option for beginners and families. It features a dedicated Kids-Track, a Pump Track, and a Table Line, all designed to help riders practice and improve their skills in a safe environment. The Flow Trail at the Wettstetten sports field is also described as very nice to ride and flows smoothly, making it suitable for those looking to practice their skills.
For experienced riders seeking a challenge, the region offers several demanding trails. The Singletrack in Naturpark Altmühltal is a challenging enduro trail with many roots, hollows, drops, and tight curves. Another option is the Ed van Shred Trail, known for its challenging forest sections. Additionally, the Downhill Trail Eichstätt (Altmühltal Nature Park) provides a thrilling experience for advanced mountain bikers.
The Juraflow Mountainbike-Parcours offers a variety of tracks including a Table Line, Dirt Line, Pump Track, and Kids-Track. It also features a Cross-Country Line and a Trial-Area for technical challenges. For convenience, there is a seating area for breaks. Its central location means it's close to the DAV climbing center JURABLOC, hiking trails, climbing areas, and popular attractions like the Fossiliensteinbruch and Fossilienmuseum Bergér.
Yes, e-bikes and pedelecs are permitted at the Juraflow Mountainbike-Parcours. However, it's always recommended to check specific rules for other trails or parks you plan to visit, as regulations can vary.
Safety is paramount. At the Juraflow Mountainbike-Parcours, a helmet is required for all riders, and protective gear for knees and elbows is strongly recommended. Children under 12 must be supervised by a legal guardian. Usage is at one's own risk. These are good general guidelines for any bike park in the region.
The best time to visit is generally during dry conditions. The Juraflow Mountainbike-Parcours, for instance, is typically closed during rain, wet conditions, snow, and ice, reopening two to three days after the last rainfall once the tracks are dry. Therefore, spring, summer, and early autumn, when the weather is drier, are ideal for enjoying the trails.

You can explore numerous hiking trails, such as the moderate Eichstätter Panoramaweg or the more difficult Castle trail in the Anlautertal. For road cyclists, there are scenic routes like the Kipfenberg Castle – Eichstätt Old Town loop. Gravel biking is also popular, with routes like Romantic valleys, heaths and castles - Graveling in the Altmühltal Nature Park available.

Visitors frequently praise the variety and flow of the trails. For example, the Flow Trail at the Wettstetten sports field is described as 'very nice to ride, flows along nicely.' The singletracks, like the Singletrack on Arzberg, are appreciated for offering a good change from other local trails. The challenging enduro trails, despite their difficulty, are often noted as 'a lot of fun' by those who tackle them.
While the Juraflow is prominent, the wider Altmühltal region offers many natural and technical trails that might be considered hidden gems. Trails like the Kessensteig singletrack and the Fischerleitn Fast Flow Trail with Jump offer challenging and engaging rides through the forest, often providing a more secluded experience away from the busiest spots.
