The village, over 1000 years old, has a young church. It was built between 1904 and 1905 according to the design of the renowned architect Theodor Quentin from Pirna. The historicist formal language of the building incorporates Art Nouveau influences in its murals. Quentin did not live to see the completion of the church, as he died at the age of 53 in neighboring Neuenhof. The baptismal font from 1622 is reminiscent of a predecessor building. Fierce battles in April 1945 destroyed the village and the church. Despite the hardship, the community collected enough money for the necessary repair work on their church. The bronze bell from 1680, which did not end up in the melting furnace, survived the war on a "bell cemetery". This was a sign of hope after dark years. The village's location in the border area and the lack of materials in the GDR made maintaining the church difficult.

At the end of the village of Netra lies the water castle, a Renaissance building. Built between 1590 and 1600 on the site of an old castle. The three-story, almost square building is equipped with a mansard roof, a polygonal stair tower, and bay windows.

The Protestant church in Netra is a listed historic house of worship. As the only part of the old Gothic complex, the choir tower has survived fires and wars since 1480. Later, an eight-sided, pointed, slate-covered spire was added, which features 4 watch houses.

Very beautiful view of the, I think, Ebenauer Köpfe. There is also an official path leading up to the cliffs and from there you also have a wonderful view. BUT BE CAREFUL: There is nothing fenced off up there. This means if you go too far forward, every step could be your last.
