The waterfall is always worth a trip. It is easy to reach from Teteven. From the car park it is only a short walk through the forest. It can get crowded on weekends.

There a few routs to reach this beauty. I personaly live the "red" route, which goes strait up along the river. This one could be dangerous, especially in wet conditions. Please, use the green route in such conditions. It is not very technical, but I would recommend using a trail runners or other hiking shoes with good grip.

The ideal time to visit Bulgarian waterfalls varies. Many, like Raysko Praskalo and Vrachanska Skaklya, are most impressive in late spring and early summer due to snowmelt, ensuring maximum water flow. The Canyon of the Waterfalls is best enjoyed during warmer months. Skakavitsa Waterfall is stunning year-round, transforming into a magnificent ice formation in winter, attracting ice climbers.
Beyond visiting the waterfalls themselves, you can find various outdoor activities nearby. For instance, there are numerous hiking trails, including easy routes like the one to Waterfall – Lukata Hut. You can also find running trails and cycling routes in the broader regions where waterfalls are located.
Yes, some waterfalls have historical or cultural connections. Near the Krushuna Waterfalls, you can find remains of a 13th-14th century Hesychast monastery. The Kapinovski Waterfall is close to the 14th-century Kapinovski Monastery, adding a cultural dimension to your visit. Additionally, the Bachkovo Waterfall is near the Bachkovo Monastery, allowing for a combination of spiritual and nature tourism.

Vrachanska Skaklya is the highest non-permanent waterfall at 141 meters, particularly grand in spring. While popular spots can attract many visitors, some waterfalls might offer a more secluded experience depending on the season and specific location.
