The variety found on the Sahajärvi Trail makes it a superb trail run and the longest such loop in Teijo National Park. As well as a rocky plateau, a hand operated cable ferry and some beautiful swampland, the woodland here is delightful.

It's not everyday your run's rhythm is interrupted by a cable ferry crossing but that's exactly what happens here on the Sahajärvi Trail. It's a real highlight of the experience and one you won't soon forget.

This shelter, on the banks of Matildanjärvi, is a nice spot to take a break and drink in the views. There's a good swimming spot by the lakeshore here too.

The Ancient Jeturkasti Trail is a splendid 5-kilometre loop in Teijo National Park. Look out for the stones that cover the forest floor. According to legend, these were thrown into their current place by an angry giant!
