The Three Cross Chapel in Schmitte is a small chapel in the hamlet of Schmitte, which belongs to the municipality of Nesselwängle in the Reutte district of Tyrol. It lies approximately 530 meters northwest of the Krinnenalp lift valley station and is part of the parish of Nesselwängle, which belongs to the Diocese of Innsbruck. The chapel was built in the 19th century and is a stone, towerless structure with a segmental arched entrance and a steep gable roof. Inside, there is a vaulted room with a semicircular apse and a crucifix dating from 1690 by Nikolaus Babel of Pfronten.

A lovely place to stop for a longer break: views, a stroll, cafes, a gift shop... What more could you want?

We enjoyed delicious local and regional dishes with a magnificent view. The food was super tasty 😋 and grilled to perfection. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine for the excellent quality and cheaper than in most restaurants in the valley. The hospitality of the hut hosts was also excellent. We would gladly come back.
