Tips from the Community

Peter W.
July 13, 2025, Olav Pilgrim Trail River Crossing

At the outlet of the canyon the Olav pilgrim trail crosses the river. The crossing is made easier by multiple stone steps and normal shouldn't be too challenging. But during slippery trail conditions or high water this could be quite different. Furthermore, this crossing also is a good place for easy water access.

Delicious 3-course menu, with reindeer as main course. Breakfast was extensive and very tasty. On the pricey side, but you get value for your money.

Very nice and friendly accommodation. Not exactly cheap, but the warm cinnamon rolls after a long hike are heavenly!

Musk oxen are often sighted in this region. These fascinating animals should be enjoyed with respect, caution and at a sufficient distance. Please do not become overconfident when hunting for photos.
