The "Little Sanssouci" villa complex consists of a castle-like main building, an outbuilding with a connecting corridor and a park-like villa garden. The miniature version of Potsdam's Sanssouci Palace, built between 1745 and 1747 by Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff, was built in 1905, 1912 and 1913, and the side wing was added in 1939. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, it was returned to its original owner, the German Post Office. Today it is privately owned, presumably by a "Transformers" fan. Every time I visit Fürstenwalde, I don't fail to visit the cathedral. Wonderful: it is an "open church" that has several very committed volunteers. I am particularly fascinated by the fact that despite an almost complete destruction in World War II, an architecturally harmonious church was rebuilt and that you can see the various eras of the redesign (Gothic, Baroque, destruction). Missing columns, different paintings, etc.
