Groß Schauener Lakenkette is a nature reserve located approximately 30 miles (50 km) southeast of Berlin within the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park. This area is characterized by a chain of six shallow, glacially formed lakes, surrounded by extensive reed beds, wet meadows, and riparian alder forests.
