The imposing dam of the Pöhl dam is a real highlight and impresses both from above and below 💪. When crossing it, a wide, almost endless view opens up over the lake, while on the other side the valley drops deep down – a great contrast!

Leubnitz Castle, located not far from Plauen, was built in 1794 by Captain Heinrich Wilhelm von Kospoth as an early neoclassical residential palace. It was owned by the von Kospoth family until 1945, when it was expropriated as part of the land reform. The building has since been renovated and is open to visitors again. It is owned by the municipality of Rosenbach/Vogtl. The Friends of Leubnitz Castle Association manages its day-to-day operations. The permanent exhibition "Nature and Hunting" offers a diverse range of exhibits, providing an experience for young and old. Children, in particular, can learn about the local flora and fauna using all their senses in the "Nature Learning Center." This road takes you along a well-paved road over the ridge and through the forest. If you're carrying the momentum downhill, you'll need to be careful at the junction, as it changes to firm, light gravel for about 300m. After that, there's a barrier. At the next village entrance, there's a constant layer of gravel. In the village of Lange, you can easily bypass the construction site on the left.
