Path through the forest from Wizardbeach to Redfrogbeach, if at all only with plenty of time and not before dark! We almost got lost there because the route wasn't obvious. (March 2023)

If sou wanna go from Wizzard beach to Red Frog beach and there is high tide, you cannot go via the beach and have to go through the forest. There it is not always clear what is the actual path and what not.

This hotel is one of the most unusual I've seen so far. It is just a few kilometers from Bocas del Toro, actually in the middle of the jungle, in Big Creek, next to Via Playa Bluff. The owner bought a piece of jungle, cleared it and created a beautiful garden with buildings and a swimming pool. The hosts are called José (from Seville) and Maira (not Maria! - from Venezuela), are very friendly and take great care of their guests. In particular, they are also happy to explain what plants and animals there are here. Although I was only there for two days, I was able to marvel at a sloth, a capuchin monkey, hummingbirds and a small gecko from relatively close. I couldn't remember the names of all the beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees. I was glad I hadn't taken a hotel in town...

Further up the coast from Playa El Istmito and Sand Dollar Beach, about halfway to Playa Bluff, is Playa Punch (or Paunch), which is dangerous for swimming but good for surfing. It's about 5km from Bocas town. There are boards for rent and a small hotel/restaurant with a bar offers beach chairs and drinks on the beach

Beautiful Bocas-Bluff Beach Beer Biking BBBBBB Bocas on Isla Colón is heaven for relaxed travelers; there's really no reason to do anything other than enjoy life. Everything in this sleepy "fastest growing tourism"(?!?) town is walkable, and several deserted paradise/surf playas a walk or bikeride away. Playa Bluff is a 5 km long wilderness beach with strong surf and soft yellow sand. Small boats from Bocas take you snorkeling/diving and explore the Isla Bastimentos national park and uninhabited coral islands all around. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bocas_Town,_Bocas_del_Toro More annotated pictures at https://www.komoot.de/tour/10971766
