In the heart of the Altmark, the Letzlingen hunting lodge rises in the midst of an almost fairytale natural backdrop. No wonder that so many couples in love say yes today in this ambience! The first wedding took place here in the 16th century. Elector Johann Georg von Brandenburg, who had the hunting seat built in this area rich in game, stepped with Princess Elisabeth of Anhalt-Zerbst in front of the altar in the castle. After the old "Hirschburg" was forgotten for a long time, the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm IV brought the hunting residence back to life and had it rebuilt in the neo-Gothic style. A wonderfully romantic and well-kept castle in the neo-Gothic Tudor style. Absolutely worth seeing, as is the palace chapel opposite.

The Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm IV had the Jagdschloss Letzlingen built on the walls of a previous building. According to the plans of the architects Friedrich August Stüler and Ludwig Ferdinand Hesse, a palace complex was built in 1843 in the neo-Gothic style of the English Tudor architecture.
