Unfortunately, the path is not always easy to find, especially towards the end of the gorge. There are a few trees lying on the path in the gorge and the signs are missing in some crucial places. In mid-June, the grass in the clearing at the lowest point of the tour is so high that it is difficult to see where to go next. Be sure to use mosquito spray; otherwise you will become a feast! In my opinion, you should not walk the path alone because you can slip very easily and also because you will be glad to have a helping hand in some sections.

THE CHURCH OF SAINT ZENON The parish church in Brtonigla bears the name of Saint Zeno, the early Christian bishop from Verona, whom this Istrian town also celebrates as its patron saint. HI. Zenon was built between 1859 and 1861 on the site of the older church of the same name, which isolated sources date to the year 1480.
