Great views from the top. Supposedly this was once the main seat of the Yotvingians.

The beginning of the ascent to the mountain leads up the stairs, so it is better to leave the bike at the bottom, e.g. at the information board. The top of Góra Zamkowa rises over 45 m above the surface of the lakes surrounding it and 228.1 m above sea level. To this day, you can see - looking at the slopes of the mountain - three rings of earthen defensive ramparts, reinforced with boulders. This is a remnant of the rich historical past of this place - next to Osinki, Szwajcaria and Żywa Woda, the largest archaeological site in the Suwałki region. It awaits full exploration and description. More information on the website https://suwalszczyzna.com.pl/info/miejsca/szurpily---gora-zamkowa
