Actually, the gorge is right in the middle of Winterberg, at least there are buildings to the north and south. Once you have entered the gorge, you immediately feel like you are in another world, just rugged nature with narrow paths, wooden bridges and a stream.

Just below the 704-metre-high Iberg, southeast of Siedlinghausen at around 690 metres, lies the St. Blasius Chapel. This resting and devotional place is considered a meeting point for the villages of Siedlinghausen, Silbach, Niedersfeld and Brunskappel. Several hiking trails cross here. It is named after Blaise of Sebaste, one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers. He is invoked for throat ailments and is considered the patron saint of livestock and weather. From the benches, you can look out over the hills and villages in the north of the Rothaargebirge.

Overall the valley is beautiful. Not everything is rideable, but many things are accessible on foot, as long as it's not closed off

On these great paths on the Rothaarsteig, here the Rothaarkammweg, the interaction between hikers and mountain bikers is not a problem, as the paths are almost continuously quite wide. Very nice route guidance
