Known as Davis Reservoir 1 and 2, these lakes provide a wonderful backdrop for exploring the Gunbarral area. Crushed gravel makes for an easy walk, and off-leash dogs are allowed.

Great viewpoint along the LOBO Regional Trail. There is a bench for you to stop and take a break to enjoy the vistas.

Since the trail underpass is not yet completed, others have apparently crossed the tracks (you can see their tire tracks). You cannot ride across the tracks, one must walk and carry your bike. There are lots of signs that this is illegal. It looks like the underpass is ready to be completed. Barriers prevent its use, thus one must climb over the active railroad tracks.

The wetland ecosystem found at Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat was actually the site of industrial gravel pits not too long ago. The county worked hard to turn this riparian environment back into what it once was.

The crushed gravel LoBo Trail follows the ditch through town. LoBo stands for Longmount-Boulder (the route the bike path takes).

As you follow the trail the buildings part and you get a wonderful view of the Front Range over the rural landscape.
