By the mid-1800s, the site had grown into a large British military complex with more than 20 buildings, serving the army until 1871 before later becoming a training camp for the Canadian militia. The Living Water Wayside Chapel is a very tiny church, built in 1964 by the Niagara Falls Christian Reformed Church. The church is so small, only 6 guests can fit inside at a time.
