July 20, 2026, Holland Creek Trail

The trail parallels Holland Creek from above, with benches at a few scenic rest areas. There are multiple waterfalls to explore along the trail, all cascading down into clear round basins along the trailside.

A short spur trail takes you to a clearing where the mossy bedrock rises out of the trees and gives you a view northward across Ladysmith. If the weather is clear, you can see the looming white-capped mountains in the direction of Whistler across the Strait of Georgia.

This is one of the main access points to the Holland Creek loop and has roadside parking plus a public washroom at the shelter. From here the trail drops into forest with boardwalks, bridges, and benches along the way. If you want a shorter hike, you can easily do an out-and-back to Crystal Falls from here instead of the full loop.
