This small town is filled with murals adorning many facades with different themes. It all began nine years ago, when a young local artist proposed creating them. Since then, a festival has been held every year, hosting artists who create murals on a voluntary basis.

It's worth stopping to see what remains of this monastery, linked to the Franciscans. The church's sanctuary must have been built starting in the 14th century. In the 18th century, a large nave, the main façade, and the monastery entrance were added, which are best preserved today. The presbytery had a beautiful Moorish coffered ceiling, which was moved in the 1970s to the Torreón del Caracol in Benavente (Parador de Turismo) to prevent its loss, where it remains today.

Although only part of the tower remains today, its presence is imposing: it was once a stately home and today serves as the perfect viewpoint over the Óbigo Valley. A bike ride up here is both visually and culturally rewarding. A great spot for epic photos, a restful break with views, and a bit of history on wheels. If you're planning a route with interesting stops, this castle is a definite yes.

It's one of those spots that catches you by surprise on the route: sober, solid, and perfectly integrated into the flat landscape of Zamora. It rises among fields and low houses like a rural beacon marking the rhythm of your pedaling. Riding along quiet trails and seeing it appear in the background has its own charm. Ideal for a quick photo on the bike, refilling water if needed, and continuing on to longer routes through Benavente or Villafáfila. If you're looking to connect towns with spirit, this tower is worth a stop.
