English: At the foot of the 11th-century church, overlooking a breathtaking panorama of Lake Geneva and the Alps, a plot of land belonging to the municipality was transformed into La Vigne du Monde (The Vineyard of the World) in 1996. Since then, each year, the winemakers welcome a guest country whose typical grape varieties are planted on one of the micro-terraces that make up this international vineyard. In 1996, Savoie kicked things off, and La Vigne du Monde featured Mondeuse Blanche and Noire, Viognier, Roussanne, Altesse, and Cabernet Sauvignon. A year later, the guests of honor were Ukraine and Georgia. Portugal, Spain, Romania, and Luxembourg are just a few of the European countries that have been featured. Argentina and South Africa have allowed non-European grape varieties to make their appearance at the foot of the Féchy church steeple. In 2011, New Zealand joined the project, adding another continent to the mix. Ultimately, no fewer than 58 grape varieties are carefully tended by the winemakers of the municipality. In September, these grapes are harvested and then vinified separately to create a special cuvée. At the end of the walk, if you need to change your shoes, you can always go to the Oulet, or even leave with some meatballs from IKEA just opposite ^^
