Great views of the mountains ahead. Some of the surfaces in this parc are slightly rugged and difficult to get good traction and drive on a non e'bike

Highest point in the Parque Nacional des Calanques. At a height of 645 meters, you have an incredible 360° view of Marseille, the Calanques and all the surrounding mountains. The climb from Mont Saint-Cyr is quite technical, so be sure to wear sturdy shoes.

Located on an old Roman road (the N8) between Aubagne and Marseille, the town benefits from a rich built heritage. The Pennelus (or Penelle), listed as a historic monument, bears witness to the long history of La Penne-sur-Huveaune, whose current name appeared as early as 1212 in the archives of Saint-Victor Abbey. In the old center, a stone's throw from the Roman monument, you can also discover its church and its stained glass windows, construction of which began in 1711.

This course is only 15 km long but it is very difficult, violent and technical on the second part. The route is very beautiful and technically very interesting, but it is reserved for experienced pilots both uphill and downhill. From the car park, part of the route is through streets and a boulevard. Unfortunately, I never found a way to avoid the boulevard on the first part but the sequel is very good! I've never tried, but concerning the first part, it may be possible to take only small streets following most of the time the hiking route "GR de pays 2013 Marseille Provence Métropole", (which the we will leave later), to access Boulevard de la Forbine, at the start of the climb to the Col de Galvaudan by DFCI track. About 40 meters after the pass, take a path to the right which rises quite steeply. The following takes place only on the steep path. With my VTTAE, I manage to do most of the climb on the bike. It's more difficult on muscular MTB, but on the other hand easier for a few pushes!
