⚓ Evening at the Port of Cap d’Agde The Port of Cap d’Agde is really beautiful in the evening. 😎⚓ You can stroll leisurely along the promenade around the many boats and yachts – and you're guaranteed not to get bored. Restaurants, bars, ice cream parlors, and lots of small shops line the harbor. In between, you'll repeatedly find street artists and painters, where you can even have your own portrait made. 🎨👌🏼 And for those who want to see Cap d’Agde from above, you can take a ride on the Ferris wheel. 🎡 For dinner, of course, we had something that fits the location: Mussels with fries and a cold beer to go with it. 🦪🍟🍺 Afterwards, we continued to stroll through the harbor and, of course, an ice cream was a must. 🍦😂 Although the prices here haven't stood still either: €3 for a scoop – 50 cents more again. 😅 When it gets dark, I almost like the harbor even better. The restaurants fill up, the promenade is illuminated, and the lights reflect in the water between the boats. 🌙⚓ A little tip for getting there: When choosing a parking spot, check beforehand which end of the harbor you'll end up at. 😂 The harbor area is quite long – if you pick the wrong parking lot, you might end up walking a good kilometer before you're in the middle of the action. For a pleasant evening, the Port of Cap d’Agde is definitely a great place: stroll, eat, have a drink, browse the shops, ride the Ferris wheel, and simply enjoy the atmosphere between the harbor and the restaurants. 😎🤗 Greetings, Marcus ✌🏼

Towards Agde, the Canal du Midi, built in the 17th century under the direction of Pierre-Paul Riquet, ensures the link between the Garonne river network and the Mediterranean. A little further on, it joins the Hérault, then continues to the Étang de Thau via the Canal des Onglous. This waterway, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, bears witness to the ambitious project conceived in the 17th century to connect the Atlantic to the Mediterranean.
