A flowing trail through moss-covered rocks. Easy to run, not very steep, and a bit rocky in places.

The Lai Barnagn bathing lake is a must on hot days. It offers something for everyone. Big or small, old or young. The area around the lake is very diverse. - Children's playground - Mini golf course - Lake area for small children - Flippers and bouncy cushions and more in the lake - Small soccer field - Beach volleyball court - Lawn area for relaxing - Barbecue areas - Large kiosk with hot meals, e.g. burgers or fries and much more. After a bike or hiking tour, it's worth stopping here for a beer or a coffee.

Bathing lake / Large parking lot in winter About the origin of Lai Barnagn In summer, a swimming lake with everything a bathing heart could wish for. In winter there is a large parking lot for the cable cars. This dual use of the Lai Barnagn is unique. Baltermia Peterelli, one of the initiators, tells us how this brilliant idea came about over 35 years ago. Children splash around at the water playground, stand-up paddleboarders cruise the lake and beach volleyballs fly on the shore. Anyone who sits at Lai Barnagn in summer and enjoys the cozy atmosphere cannot imagine that there is a large parking lot here in winter with up to 700 cars lined up side by side. The water is simply drained in the fall and refilled in the spring – a miraculous transformation that has occurred every year for 35 years. Today I would like to tell you the story of how the idea and realization of this unique and ingenious dual-use facility came about. To do this, I met with Baltermia Peterelli, former head of the Savognin building department and one of the fathers of Lai Barnagn. Savognin (Surses) 1207 m above sea level M. in the Albula Valley The villagescape is dominated by three stately churches. The well-known painter Giovanni Segantini (in Surses 1886-1894) noticed the unique natural beauty in our valley. Rough mountain ranges, steep gorges, hilly mountain meadows make an impression just by looking at them. An image that stays in your memory and leaves you wanting more. Savognin (German, obsolete and officially Schweiningen until 1890, Romansh Savognin, in the local dialect Suagnign, Italian, rarely used, Savognino) was a political municipality in the Albula district of the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland until December 31, 2015. On January 1, 2016, Savognin merged with the municipalities of Bivio, Cunter, Marmorera, Mulegns, Riom-Parsonz, Salouf, Sur and Tinizong-Rona to form the new municipality of Surses. Rätia Ampla Castle in Riom The Romans already had a settlement in Riom. In the early Middle Ages, a royal court developed. Following the episcopal bailiffs, the land bailiffs lived in what was then one of the largest castles in the canton of Graubünden. After the village fire in 1864, all the wood from the fortress was used to rebuild the village. Until 1977, when a roof was rebuilt, the castle eked out a miserable existence as a ruin. Today's theater house houses Graubünden's largest theater and cultural festival. The Origen Festival takes place every summer in July and August. Rätia Ampla Castle in Riom was probably built around 1250. It quickly changed hands from the old lords to the Bishop of Chur. In 1552, the valley was bought free from episcopal rule. The castle was used as a conference venue and as a prison. Text / Source: Tourism Savognin Bivio Albula AG, Stradung 42, 7460 Savognin https://www.valsurses.ch/de/excursions/burg-riom
