Hidden and isolated, in the middle of the pine forest above Lagrasse, lies this lonely chapel. In the early Middle Ages it was part of a settlement, the name Carla derives from the word "castellum". It acquired its current form only in 1875, but the porch, the stone portal and the Madonna statue are still preserved from earlier times. Next to it is an old bergerie. A place to dream and a beautiful hike through the Corbières forests to get there.

A walk on the heights of Tournissan, amidst pine trees, vineyards, and scrubland. Geology enthusiasts will be particularly delighted by the passage through the Terres Rouges where you take part of the Francis Lastenouse Trail, particularly rich in explanatory panels. Not to mention the magnificent nature, rich in astonishing contrasts of colors, which will undoubtedly delight other hikers. (Visirando)
