Constitution Square, Sóller

Highlight • Settlement

The Plaça Constitució is the central square in Sóller in front of the Església de Sant Bartomeu, with many cafes and some sights. The historic tram runs right across the square. Various seating areas. Nice place to rest after a tour.

Fenced areas often make it difficult for spontaneous hikers in Mallorca. There is a new public hiking trail over private areas that can be easily integrated into more extensive hikes around Sóller / Port de Sóller. The path opens the door to the otherwise inaccessible, small-parcel agricultural estates. There are many gates to pass and in some places you have to climb ladders.

Up here you can refresh yourself in the (admittedly touristy) restaurant. The breathtaking view is in any case great and also completely free.

Sa Capelleta

Highlight • Religious Site

Very artistically designed chapel, so far little noticed by tourism.
The interior of the chapel was modeled after a cave. Through a unfortunately locked door, the statues of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Sant Bernadette can be seen behind and above the altar.
If you come here in the afternoon, the area around the chapel is a wonderful place of rest.

Since there is parking here, it is a good starting point for hikes. But be careful, the access road from above is very narrow and a bit difficult with oncoming traffic, but is more suitable for the German average petrol car driver than the access from below.

January 29, 2023, Wanderung 29.01.2023 Mirador de ses Barques y Sa Capalleta — circular desde Sóller 🙋‍♂️🥾⛅🌧️🙈

Did a slightly easier tour today as the weather was mostly rainy, windy and cold. Start and finish was in the beautiful town of Soller. Unfortunately we didn't have a good view from the Mirador on Port de Soller today. Overall, it was still an interesting tour, which is a bit more pleasant to walk in better weather. Have a nice evening. 🙋‍♂️😊

Here the world is still in order! Peace and idyll in lonely valleys, on the mountain, through olive groves, lemon and orange trees. 🍋🍊🫒🤸‍♀️🥾☀️🌳⛰️⛪️ At the beginning I thought that it wouldn't be a very nice hike because it started directly in Soller. And 2-3 km through a city, I do not like. It also went long on overgrown paths. But once started on the hiking trail, it was beautiful, lonely and absolutely versatile! This trail was created thanks to the consent of the Pivat people to let hikers across their properties! Thanks to the people ❤️ on site!

Slightly deviated from the path to get to Port de Soller, and then back on the path via detours, eventually walked 17km, very beautiful. Overwhelmed by a fierce 2-hour rain shower, but unforgettably beautiful
