Just fun with a lot of history 😃 at the end we were able to witness a mountain rescue. Hopefully everything went well 🙏 The landscape is absolutely breathtaking 😍 there's nothing more to say 💚
It starts from the Falzarego pass and follows the indications for KaiserJager, Lagazuoi... a demanding path with equipped sections and with exposure... if you are not sure, the harness is recommended.. Beautiful route...
GPS jumped a little in the caves/tunnels from World War I, but surprisingly the km and hm are still correct.
The Kaiserjager trail is hard to call a via ferrata, as many descriptions suggest. We brought our via ferrata kit, but there are only a few sections with ropes, but they're always on a trail. Of course, the trail passes through exposed sections, and you don't need to suffer from vertigo, but it's still a beautiful Dolomite route in the high mountains.
On the second attempt we made it to the summit and were rewarded with a gigantic view 😍
Recommended path uphill path 402 then turn left to the cave (helmet and torch required) downhill it is preferable to follow path 401 outside the cave much less demanding.
