After our morning tour we drive to Porto Pino, find a nice shady parking lot in the forest, drink coffee and start this short but really nice tour. Shortly after the start we have a great view of the beach and dunes of Is Arenas Biancas, probably our destination for tomorrow. That looks very inviting. Immediately afterwards we find some bunkers, which you can access via a staircase to the area below the ground and up again on the other side - frightening and fascinating at the same time. An interesting discovery is the Lost Place in the form of four never-finished holiday homes. From the outside you can actually only see concrete, although the floors and bathrooms have already been tiled. Some of the latter have bathtubs. The tile style makes me think it's the 70s. The view is fantastic 😍 We continue to the natural Spiaggia Porto Pinedu. We then look for a path through the forest between the fortunately orphaned holiday settlement and then come to the small harbor of Porto Pino. Apparently there are still fishermen active here. There are nets and traps in many places. From there a panoramic path takes us past the Grotta dei Baci back to the parking lot. We then drive to the Area Sosta Camper Porto Pino. Fortunately, now in October it is free. Last week, 20 euros per day (!) were due for parking on gravel. How lucky we are 😎
Difficult to navigate in some sections, with numerous cliff edges. Sturdy footwear is required; not suitable for people over 60.
Nice tour from the harbor, definitely very hot during the day in summer. At the end of March we were almost alone and were able to go swimming at the Spaggia di Porto Pineddu at the end of the tour.
