The Sidobre is a mountainous region in the south of the Massif Central, 11 kilometers east of Castres in the Tarn department. It is a granite area with a length of 15.3 km and a maximum width of 6.6 km (approximately 102 km²), encompassing almost 10,200 hectares of forest. The massif has an altitude of between 400 and 707 meters (the highest point is at a place called Le Patau). The Sidobre massif is the largest granite massif in France and the most important center of granite production in France.[1] (Wikipedia) Translated with DeepL.com (free version) It was very warm and we often walked over rocks. The hike was strenuous, but we still enjoyed it.
