One of the most beautiful hikes in the gorges...the highlight is the ruins of the St Michel hermitage, we enjoy strolling through the maze of stones and rocks, we can rock climb, climb thanks to the various ladders and metal railings, the weather doesn't matter, the setting is magical. And to finish, a little dip in the cool waters of the Jonte, a treat this day 👍❤️
An exhausting start, but as a result it is rewarded with magnificent views and vulture watching.
Really nice tour with impressive views.partly in the shawdow. I
Always a pleasure to hike in this place, the slope is a little steep, but as my girlfriend says, it is a little less hard than before😵💫😐 magnificent weather 👍
Very nice hike! on the other side of the Gorges de la Jonte. Another way to see this sublime region! The start, for once, is flat. We quickly reach a nice climb to reach L'Ermitage Saint-Michel (an old fortification on several rocky peaks). Arriving at L'Ermitage, we find a ladder. But he doesn't have to take it. You can go around the rock (downhill then up) and take the small path on the left and you arrive at a magnificent view! There is another ladder to reach the fortification, but I stopped at this level. All along the route, multiple panoramic views! If you are afraid of heights, stay on the path behind you! The return involves a fairly sustained and long descent. Certainly one of the most beautiful hikes on the Jonte. First along the river and then great views from the high plateau. The circling vultures in the gorge are particularly special.
