This route was planned by komoot.
We're starting our seasonal outings, taking advantage of the fact that I'm feeling better every day. I have several outings planned, which I'll space out throughout the week and intersperse them with the rest of my outings. Today I thought nothing special was going to happen, and that was the case until almost the end of the route, but reasons to share arose. Sometimes I'm gifted with the gift of inopportune timing, so I guarantee I'll have something to share even if I don't intend to, so I'll share it later 🤭😱 But first, I must explain the purpose of this outing through Granada. It's because I wanted to visit some towns that, otherwise, I would never have visited. Towns like Moclín, Íllora, Olivares, Puerto Lope, and Obéilar were unknown to me, and I was curious to know what they were like, what their main activity was, and what the surroundings were like. I added a much higher elevation gain than Komoot indicated when I designed the route, which was around 1,000 meters. In addition to the long and steady climb to Moclín, the route was riddled with continuous uphill and downhill slides, so I totaled 1,690 meters 😱. The scenery is simply spectacular, except for the lack of water in the area, where it seems it hasn't rained as much as in other parts of Andalusia. It's still beautiful. I brought my gravel bike and lost more time than usual because I had to keep stopping to take photos because I didn't have a phone mount. Also, these bikes have lower brakes than MTBs, and 😱 that's precisely where the story of the day comes from 🥵, but I'm telling that for those of you who like to read a little more and delve into the details 🤭. I laugh now 😂 but I swear my face turned pale at that moment 😨😏 and sometimes I think miracles do exist, at least today I must have experienced one 😇. Best regards! 😊🙋♂️
