After well over an hour and a quarter of a mile of winding through the mountains, we started our tour today from Eremo di Gamaldolli to Monte Penna. First, we climbed to Prato alla Penna and then descended a few hundred meters before reaching the Fosso dei Fangacci waterfall. At over 90 meters, it's supposed to be the highest waterfall in the area. Only, it barely had any water 🤨. Then we continued through the old trees, through the Foresta della Lama, up to Monte Penna. The view from here was incredible, but unfortunately, a bitterly cold wind was blowing 😖. Down to Rifugio Fangacci, and then it was actually another really steep climb (we hadn't expected that at all), before we returned to the car via Prato alla Penna. The return journey was the same winding route. I wonder if this tour was worth all the winding? .....🤨🤨
