You're sure to remember them from your childhood: the small mirror tubes that enchant you with colorful images when you look through them. Here – on the Kaleidoscope Trail – they're considerably larger and reveal the landscape around Bad Driburg in a whole new way.

Bad Driburg is an old glassblowing town in which there have been glassworks and glass trading companies since the 12th century. Bad Driburg is still one of the most important trading centers in Europe in the field of glass trading with brands such as "Leonardo", Ritzenhoff & Breker "and" Table Roc ". The play of colored glass and light has always fascinated people ... This is probably how the idea for the kaleidoscope path 🤔 came about LG Marie 🍀🌍🎈
In the most beautiful autumn weather, we walked the kaleidoscope path in Bad Driburg today. The large kaleidoscopes invite you to make visual discoveries. Interesting to look through there. Then there is a large landscaped park with many exotic trees. In the game reserve, unfortunately, only sleeping was announced today. In between there are always great views of the landscape. And because Bad Driburg is a health resort, there were vehicles in the middle of the forest that swept up the leaves. In my opinion completely superfluous and also air pollution.
Today I treated myself to a day in Bad Driburg with Elmo. First the Kaleidoscope Trail... then a long break... then a little stroll around town and finally a little tour to the ruins of the Iburg and the Kaiser Karl Tower
Today I followed the Kaleidoskopweg from the Rosenberg in Bad Driburg. As the name suggests, there are various kaleidoscopes in many places and invite you to look through them and play around. Unfortunately, about half of the parts are blinded by condensation. But still a great idea! Behind the Rosenberg we went along the edge of the forest into the valley and then back up to the Steinberg, where a very elaborately built arboretum can be found. Unfortunately, when I visited, everything was still in hibernation, except for the cherry plum, which had practically faded. After a bit of searching I found two flowers that I could photograph. Otherwise, all the ground covers are beginning to bloom now, blue liverworts, the hollow-rooted corydalis and much more, including dandelions. The explanations about the burial mounds were also very interesting. After a short loop through the forest, I came back to the arboretum and the path led back into the valley. Now up the Rosenberg again and then the tour for today was done.
On the way to our holiday destination in Berlebek, we stopped in Bad Driburg. There we hiked the Kaleidoscope Trail. The trail isn't particularly well signposted, and not all of the various kaleidoscopes were still there. On the other hand, the Buddenberg Arboretum is very interesting and informative. All in all, a very beautiful hiking trail, mostly on paths (sometimes narrow, sometimes wider). It was the perfect start to the week of hiking.
