What luck when you are near such a high pass and the weather ☀️☀️ is right! At the moment it is always very windy from noon onwards and since I had a tailwind on the way there, it would have been a good idea not to start cycling until noon, but that was too hot for me. Somehow I also have a déjà vu: Didn't I suffer so much at the Tourmalet last year because I didn't rest the day before? Well, even today I regret my 3000 hm from yesterday, I never really got going. I was all the prouder for that when I was upstairs💪🥵. As with many large passes, the last 500 meters in altitude are again steep and difficult, here the air is even thinner! But these last 500 hm are usually the most beautiful section. Who wonders why we don't continue to Italy? It's getting even hotter here (up to 36° at 1000m altitude), we'd rather be up there and my husband wants to stay in France. But we're going to Italy again.
After 2 days of being a bit of a struggle in terms of fitness, today I'm in great shape and mountain biking is still more fun in these conditions 🌝😉
