From Oronoz-Mugairi, the Aizkolegi hiking trail runs through the beautiful forest of the Parque Natural de Bertiz. The path is good to walk. After rain it can get wet and slippery in some places, the trail is crossed by some springs and streams. No technical difficulties. At times it can be a bit comical for hikers afraid of heights, but nothing really tragic.
- Garmin data: 2:36h total time, 200m total difference in altitude. Video: https://www.relive.cc/view/v7O955dMdQO - NOTE: the garden is very cool, it is worth visiting. What I snuck into is the Aizkolegi Palace, I thought it was the building called Markesenea, and it turns out it wasn't, that the ruins of the old Palace, which are interesting to see, are quite a bit higher, right on top of the Aizkolegi . I screwed up!
