After the days on the Mosel and yesterday's hellish ride on the train, I just needed a nice Sunday stroll today. This rambler lived up to all my expectations and more. The old trees look great in autumn and I even saw a deer or two🦌. A short but nice relaxing walk!
Unfortunately, the recording stopped again. With a lot of effort, I was able to put it together using a program.
The "Duke's English Park" trail runs along hard gravel paths through the Dülmen wildlife park. Due to the short length and the nature of the paths, this tour is suitable for children, older people or for a short walk. 🏞🥾⛰️🌞
Today I went for a stroll at the Dülmen Zoo again. The Hohe Mark team writes: "A family-friendly rambler and a true animal adventure for all little explorers. The Dülmen Wildlife Park: a wonderfully picturesque landscape park, one of the most beautiful in Münsterland. Small hills and groups of trees, ponds and meadows with isolated trees create a setting that couldn't be more beautiful for hiking, reminiscent of English parks. And that's no coincidence! In 1864, the English landscape architect Edward Milner developed the design, which has been preserved to this day! At that time, the park was planned as a country estate for the Duke of Croÿ. The Herzteich (heart pond) with its wooden bridge is particularly idyllic and distinctive. It was designed by gardener Charles Barnard, who also influenced the design. Today, the wildlife park is freely accessible to everyone. Since 1920, wild animals such as fallow deer, red deer, and Heidschnucke (mountain sheep) have been housed here, allowing them to roam freely in the park. There's also plenty to do. Peace and a beautiful landscape to leave everyday life behind and enjoy nature. Children will love this LandStreifer trail too! Here they can observe wildlife, the paths are easy to walk, and there are plenty of naturally exciting things to discover. The Landstreifer trail runs exclusively through the Dülmen Wildlife Park. But if you're really feeling the urge to hike, you can take the A6 extension and just keep walking. https://www.hohe-mark-steig.de/landstreifer/landstreifer-des-herzogs-englische-parkanlagen/

Dülmen now also has its own LandStreifer from the Hohe Mark Steig series, the wildlife park in Dülmen is shown here. This tour shows the most beautiful sides of the park, unfortunately I personally miss the back corner with the small heathland but you can't do everything 🤗 but it's still very successful and who wants to can expand it. The round gets a great five in my personal ranking 🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳 have fun hiking 🥾 🌳Good route 🌳Interesting places 🌳 Relaxation 🌳 Pure nature wild and plants 🌳 Benches and places to stay X refuge on the route
