Today I walked through a ravine known for being a breeding ground for many vultures. While that's true, the ravine is relatively high, and the nesting sites (and waiting positions of the birds) are at the top, so binoculars or a telephoto lens are a plus.

We walked this route on August 22, 2026. The trail is almost completely in the sun and was quite crowded. If you walk the route in the direction indicated here, then the end is the most worth seeing and the remaining 90% are mediocre at best. Presumably, many hikers walked the route the other way around
