Loch of Tingwall and Law Ting Holm

The Law Ting Holm is a promontory at the north end of the loch, it used to be an island accessible by causeway, but the water level was lowered in the 1850's which connected it to the mainland. This was the site of Shetlands earliest parliament.

Today, a very beautiful tour on the Shetland Islands from Lerwick. The elevation profile looks harmless, but it isn't. A few participants struggled and had to push their bikes in places. I'm proud of myself; I rode the whole thing, even though I was the oldest on the tour.
